Rawat Jet Black Ring

$2,440.00 Regular price
Unit price

The Rawat Ring features a triangular cross section striped with Jet Black enamel all around. Designed to add texture to a ring stack, but also with enough presence to hold its own alone, this is an everyday piece with a twist.

This ring takes its name after Nain Singh Rawat. He was an Indian explorer who famously surveyed the trade route connecting Nepal and Tibet, even measuring the exact location and altitude of Lhasa. An interesting fact is that he was taught to conduct his surveys at the Great Trigonometrical Survey office in Dehradun where he learned ingenious methods of measuring and recording, even under disguise.
