State Property is an award-winning contemporary fine jewellery label rooted in Singapore. Founded by a jeweller and an industrial designer, the label navigates the cusp of art and design, fusing contemporary approaches to design with traditional craftsmanship.

Inspired by Mother Nature and where she meets science, State Property plays with structured silhouettes in precious metals juxtaposed against the soft textures of the body, offering subtle yet adventurous pieces for those with an appetite for both style and quality.

Now available in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore, State Property is quickly becoming a cult favourite across the globe, with fans that include some of the most influential women, like Michelle Obama, Nicole Kidman, and Lady Gaga.

THE FOUNDERS

Lin Ruiyin is an award-winning jeweller trained in Central St Martins in London under the tutelage of industry heavyweights in the contemporary jewellery scene, and whose personal works are part of gallery collections in London.

Afzal Imram was trained in Industrial Design at the National University of Singapore by leading designers and thinkers in Singapore, with personal works that have been exhibited in Milan, Paris, and Singapore.

Jewellery to them is the perfect platform not only to play with the boundaries of both art and design, but also to explore the complexity of the human body and individual personality.

To quote art historian Damian Skinner’s Contemporary Jewelry in Perspective, “The body moves in the public domain, and makers hope their work will piggyback on this mobility in order to engage with reality, be relevant, modern, activated.”
